The spotlight on knowledge management: joining in the discussion
While knowledge management has emerged from a variety of other disciplines - its strength lies in its power to combine the organisational elements of people, process, technology and content into a coherent approach to address gaps in organisational capability.
The Australian Knowledge Management Standard (2005) has now been signed off by the Technical Committee and Standards Australia and is ready for publication. The presentation will include a full briefing of the content of the Standard, including key ideas such as the knowledge ecosystem, the map-build-operationalise framework and knowledge enablers.
Against the background of the new Australian Knowledge Management Standard join Sue Halbwirth and Kim Sbarcea in sharing some ideas, challenges and "hopes" for knowledge management.
