Card-based classification evaluation

A new or revised information architecture for a site should be usability tested, to check that users understand the labels and groups, and to ensure that they can find information in the site. The technique of 'card based classification evaluation' provides a practical (and rapid) approach for testing a prototype site structure.

Unlike other approaches, this technique focuses solely on the structure of a site, independent of the page layout or design. As such, it is applicable for websites, intranets, classification schemes, or any other information architectures.
